First photoshoot as Miss Blue Ridge Foothills Teen 2015

Photoshoot #1 - Miss Blue Ridge Foothills Teen 2015

I had my first photoshoot as official 'Miss Blue Ridge Foothills Teen 2015'. It was such a long day, and I wasn't out of makeup until about 8pm! We were going all day. Touch up here, touch up there. Chasity with Younique Beauty was a great photographer and makeup artist. She was a blessing to work with! I learned so much about lighting, makeup and being healthy with your skin from just sitting in the chair. I also learned a lot about what to expect at State this year- yikes! I loved hearing the stories about past winners.
Hopefully the retouched pictures will be sent back to me soon and I will definitely post them. I am excited to get them back! Such talented work behind all the ladies behind the pretty pictures. Thank you Nana and Mom for staying with me, holding fans, bobby pins and jewelry for six hours. You guys mean a lot! Thanks for your support.

Yours truly,

Greenville Humane Society Visit - puppies!

The day before Christmas Eve, we went to my partner, Greenville Humane Society (GHS) to discuss ideas about fundraising and my education plans for 2015. I am so excited, so make sure to contact me through my Facebook page @Miss Blue Ridge Foothills Teen 2015 - Aleina Griffin for details on the programs we can do! I will be visiting as many places as I possibly can to promote my platform. And of course, when you go to any animal shelter, you can't help but not come home with anything - so we did! I brought home two foster babies for Christmas. They will be available for adoption the second week in January! They are the cutest things. We suspect corgi x Australian shepherd x pit mixes? Definitely come check them out when they go out on the adoption floor at GHS! Or you can check on their website, at www.greenvillehumane.com and look at all the puppies and kittens available now for adoption.

This Christmas season, my greatest wish is that everyone would take a trip and give GHS a chance.Or, even stop by and donate anything on their wishlist. I've attatched their wishlist at the bottom of my post. Thank you guys much!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from yours truly,

TR & Greer Christmas Parades

So, I'm going to be honest. The only time I've been in a parade was about 6 years ago maybe ? I was in the Girl scouts and we threw candy and it was rainy..it wasnt the best experience. So when we heard about the two parades we were going to be in, I personally had no idea what we were doing except for riding in a convertible and waving to people. I mean that's all there is to it. I had such a great time, my Miss and I shared a car and laughed at so many silly things it was such a good time. My princess rode with us the first time and I can't wait for her to start doing more things with us. She's such a sweetheart and I'm so Vlad Miss America has this program! Its such a great program for these little girls and our mentorship to them. Its definitely not only about the crowns or pretty outfits, Miss America is a part of my family already.

Crowning Moment - Miss Blue Ridge Foothills Teen

n November 22, 2014, I, Aleina Griffin was crowned your new Miss Blue Ridge Foothills Teen 2015.
I cannot say how excited and thrilled I am to be going on this amazing journey to Miss South Carolina Teen! As  my first EVER Miss America program preliminary, I have to say I was very impressed with all the beautiful young girls who were in the pageant backstage with me. We had some much fun and I made lifelong friendships in just a total of three hours. It was such an unbelievable supportive group and I am so blessed to be working with my fellow teens and misses as we all prepare for this summer. This is a first time thing for me, if you can believe that I’ve won my first preliminary ever in just the preparation of one week! Yes, I had one week to get ready for the Miss BRFH pageant. It was stressful at times, but I found myself having more fun than stress. I truly cannot wait to start the new year on our journey to Miss South Carolina teen. I am in such good hands with my family, friends, my wonderful director and fellow teens and miss contestants that will lift me up no matter what. I want to give all the glory to my one and only Savior for this wonderful experience.
I have SO many things and fundraisers and education services planned for these next months I can’t wait to get started! This is an opportunity that I will not forget and family that will stay in my heart forever as I grow into a more confident, aspiring and heatful Queen. I will definitely see you all soon and don’t forget to follow&friend me on Instagram and Facebook! xoxo
